Hey, I'm Cody! I'm a set dresser, set decorator, and prop master in Austin, TX. The past two years I've gotten to dress sets for Honda, Uber, and Dole, and build out sets and dig into some pretty incredible fabrication work for Dead Calm: The Movie, American Dollhouse (SXSW featured premiere), and Neuro (SXSW featured premiere).

Before I found the art department, I got myself a nice shiny business degree and spent five years doing growth and brand marketing for clients like Siete and Tito's here in Austin. Turns out that detour was a gift. It taught me how to move through different departments and manage projects to create our best work.

My inspiration runs from Boots Riley to the Daniels' Everything Everywhere All at Once and Swiss Army Man, with a soft spot for stop motion like Isle of Dogs, anything Pixar, and a steady diet of comedy from Talladega Nights and Monty Python to Bottoms and Dicks: The Musical, plus the unsettling worlds of The Shining, The Substance, The Lobster, and Vivarium.
Lately, when I'm not on a shoot, I'm deep in YouTube University learning SketchUp and Blender so I can get an idea onto "paper," especially set builds for movies and commercials that are highly stylized and deeply intentional. As I grow deeper into the art department and production design, those are the dream projects. If this sounds like something you're working on, hit my line!
